Our official launch last week at Leisure Industry Week at the Birmingham NEC was an amazing insight into how versatile this system actually is.

We now have iteresested parties from all over the leisure industry including health clubs, hotel chains & play centres.

But this, the original concept is looking to be a big hit this wekend at BPM at the Birmingham NEC when we conclude our official launch.

Great News! Apple decided not to oppose our application for a trademark and we now have it granted MyTicketPod.com®.

We are currently offering an excellent package to new venues and events who are wishing to join this website, and urge you to get in touch with us for further details.

We believe we are the most cost effective way of selling and distributing tickets, and due to our business model we are exceptionally eco friendly too.

Along with the usual card payment such as Visa, Mastercard, Maestro etc, etc, we have now added American Express (AMEX) cards to our checkout pages, giving you more choice when you buy tickets from us.

Trade mark delays

The trademark application for "MY TICKET POD" is being reviewed by Apple, and could be opposed by them.

Apple have until the 1st of May to decide whether to launch an opposition. I can only assume that the reason for this is due to the word "POD", which if the pod we have was a music player then it would be understandable. As what we are doing has no similarity to the IPOD then I can't see there being a problem.

This will at worst mean another name change but hopefully it won't come to that and Apple will realise we do not intend to be competition to them in any way.

I am confident that this is just a small delay and we will soon be able to welcome venues to our website and finally get the ball rolling on this exciting project that so far has taken ten months of hard work to complete.

In the meantime we are taking applications for membership now and are happy to answer any questions you might have through our contact pages.

In this fast changing world of technology, we suddenly find ourselves having the chance to move to the latest contactless chip pods, before we have even properly launched the original idea of using magnetic stripe cards.

These are so much more convenient and easy to use and carry, inside the little pod is a chip, which will be read by the reader at the entry to the venue.

The pod is made of coloured plastic and is completely waterproof. unlike the magstripe this device has a much longer life, where the old magstripe would get damaged over time in a purse or wallet then be unreadable. They can also be used as a keyring, the dimensions are 36.5mm x 30mm x 7.4mm this is what they look like

They will be available in ten different colours but unfortunately if you apply by post, you won't be able to pick your colour (there aren't any pink ones boys so not to worry). If however you apply in person at our exhibition bus which will be in coventry friday and saturday nights (the first date will be announced on this news feed) you will be able to pick your favourite colour from our selection.

So what does this mean for eBookingCard.com?
Now we have decided to remove the card, the name as we see it will have to be changed. The new name and website is myticketpod.com. eBookingCard.com will automatically redirect you to the new web address when it is transferred.

We are so excited to be able to use this new technology for our ticket services and hope you enjoy using your ticketpod.

We are also now actively seeking nightclub venues, if you are the manager of a nightclub and would like to know more about our product and service, please get in contact with us. We will need you to leave a contact name & telephone number so we can call you back.

We really believe eBookingCard will change the way we now buy tickets for entertainment and will provide the members with a secure ticket, no more wondering if your ticket is actually going to turn up in the post in time for the event or if it is in fact a counterfeit ticket and you won't have to find the ticket collection point either, because as soon as you have paid for your ticket it will show up on your eBookingCard immediately. So you can book well in advance to ensure they don't sell out or you can browse tickets still available for tonight and turn up at the door with your eBookingCard.
